From Flt Lt T Hatton, OC 759 (Harpenden) Sqn
It is with deep regret that I have to announce the death of Cliff Gardner, Chairman of 795 (Harpenden) Sqn ATC. Cliff had been ill for several months and died peacefully on Thursday 20 October with his family by his side.
Many will remember Cliff's history on the Wing from his hard work and dedication to the Air Training Corps over countless years as 795's Commanding Officer before taking on the role of Sqn Chairman.
The funeral, conducted by the present padre of 795 Sqn, Rev Gary Russell, will be held on Monday 31 October at Garston Crematorium, at 1400. All are welcome to attend, there are no restrictions and uniformed friends from the Wing would be very much appreciated. Following the service all are welcome to join the family at Sopwell House, St Albans.
Cliff leaves his wife Jean, and Claire and Neville his children. The thoughts of everyone who knew Cliff go out to them at this sad time.
